Cake Poker Redesigns Schedule
The newly redesigned schedule has it all!
Cake Poker entered the online poker market in the fall of 2005 and has established themselves as one of the class acts of online poker sites. That’s because the Cake team works hard to continually provide their customers with the kind of gaming experience they want. Recently, after an analysis of their competitor’s lineups and consultation with Lee Jones, the Card Room Manager, and poker pros Eric “Rizen” Lynch and Serge “adanthar” Ravitch, the popular poker network enlarged their guaranteed tournaments and created new events that will reward players with $100 in daily prizes and over $500 each week in prizes—an innovative move Cake hopes will be popular among its customers.
The newly redesigned schedule of multi-table tourneys offers nine daily guaranteed events, including a $50+$5 tournament that will run at 8:00 p.m. ET every night. The turbo tournament boasts a guarantee of $6,000. Cake will also host a nightly $150+$12 freezeout at 9:00 p.m. ET with a guaranteed prize pool of $20,000. Cake Poker’s $100,000 guaranteed tournament is now replaced with a $250,000 guaranteed tournament on the last Sunday of each month. Players can win seats via daily satellites or direct buy-in. “We found the most popular $50 tournament on the Internet and parked our $50 tournament right behind it,” said Jones. “Now, our players can play at CakePoker.com along with our competitor’s event.”
Cake Poker considers the changes phase I of their redesigned schedule, which will continue to roll out through early 2010. Jones says players can expect more freezeout events versus rebuy and add-on tournaments, as well as longer late registration. “We believe this is better for most players and they seem to prefer it,” he said. These key changes are sure to make a significant impact on the tournament schedule, which already offers over $5 Million in guaranteed events each month.
This is an exciting time at Cake Poker, and you will definitely want to be a part of it. Sign up today and join thousands of other players who already know how great it is to be a part of the Cake Network.
