The WBCOOP Starts January 25th at PokerStars

The WBCOOP is back which means now is the time for you bloggers to pick up the keyboard and write as you play poker!! Just think of all you will have to blog about when you win and take home the piles of cash!

The annual PokerStars World Blogger Championship of Online Poker (WBCOOP) will kick off on January 25th and run until January 30th with the Main Event on January 31st. And ALL events are 100% free to bloggers so if you blog – get ready to rumble for some great cash and prizes FREE!

Every year poker playing bloggers around the world slap themselves in a seat in the annual WBCOOP event. And this year there will be seven days worth of events to play in which will include six preliminary tournaments. And along with the other great prizes you could win, PokerStars will be awarding seats to the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) and SCOOP Steps satellite tickets! And if you blog throughout the WBCOOP event, or even Twitter your way through it, you could win spot prizes which will be given away for the best live blogs and Twitter posts!

To qualify to play in any or all of the exciting WCCOOP events, first you have to register as a verified blogger! Submit your blog for verification and remember; your blog needs to have been online for at least two months and has to be updated on a regular basis. That means you can’t jump online and create a blog just to qualify for the WBCOOP. You won’t qualify if your blog only has a few posts on it. And just because you may have qualified for the last WBCOOP, doesn’t mean you automatically qualify this year, especially if you haven’t kept your blog active and updated. Once PokerStars notifies you that you are a qualified Blogger, you can blog about that too and you don’t even have to be a poker Blogger to qualify for the WBCOOP!

Get that blog registered so you can play in any or all of the WBCOOP preliminary events and the Main Event - FREE!

These FREE preliminary tournaments events will take place daily from January 25th until January 30th and can all be found in the PokerStars lobby, under the ‘Tourney’ and ‘All’ tabs.

• January 25th at 17:00 ET - No Limit Hold’em Tournament
• January 26th at 17:00 ET - Pot Limit Omaha Tournament
• January 27th at 18:00 ET - No Limit Hold’em Tournament
• January 28th at 18:00 ET - No Limit Hold’em Tournament
• January 29th at 19:00 ET - 8-Game Mixed Tournament
• January 30th at 15:00 ET - No Limit Hold’em Tournament

The prizes that you can win in each preliminary tournament will be SCOOP (Spring Championship of Online Poker) Steps tickets worth $6,038 as follows:

• First Place - 1 $1,050 SCOOP Ticket
• 2nd through -9th Place - $215 SCOOP Tickets
• 10th through 27th Place - $33 SCOOP Tickets
• 28th through 45th - $16.50 SCOOP Tickets
• 46th through 136th - $11 SCOOP Tickets

And come January 31st at 15:00 ET get set for the 2010 WBCOOP Main Event where you can win these prizes:
